Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Amanullah Khan Jadoon has hailed the oil and gas public and private sector companies in the country for generous contribution of Rs 527 million and $1.1 million towards President's Relief Fund for the quake victims.

Talking to a delegation, he said that following the devastating earthquake of October 8, oil and gas companies had jointly donated so far a sum of Rs 527 million, including $1.1 million for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures initiated by the government.

Besides this the companies have also directly donated large quantities of food items, tents, medicine surgical equipment worth Rs 107.6 million and medical professional in the affected areas. The Minister hoped that they would continue to play their noble role for the rehabilitation of earthquake victims with the same spirit and zeal.

The oil and gas public and private sector companies, which made these contributions included Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) Rs 57.754 million, Parco Rs 41.650 million, SNGPL Rs 24 million, GHPL Rs 10 million, SSGCL Rs 250 million, PPL Rs 21.40 million, PSOCL Rs 20 million, PMDCL Rs 10.50 million, ISGCL Rs 21.40 million, SML Rs 0.50 million, BP (PE&P) Inc Rs 12 million, Occidental PP Inc Rs 12 million, Orient Pet Inc Rs 4 million, Shell Rs 30 million, Lub Gas (P) Ltd Rs 1 million, Associate Group Rs 2.5 million, PEL Rs 1.1 million, Askar Oil Ltd Rs 0.50 million, Attock Oil Co Pak Rs 48.168 million, Bosicor Pak Ltd Rs 3.30 million, Pak Ref Ltd Rs 10 million, Admore Gas Ltd Rs 1 million, Hascombe S Ltd Rs 1.082 million, Paige Limited Rs 0.500 million, Nativus Res Ltd Rs 0.500 million, MOL Pk OG Co Rs 12 million, Phpbilliton Rs 11.936 million, PKP Exp Ltd Rs 16.079 million, CNG Associate Rs 1 million, Petroleum Energy Rs 1 million, Total Parco Rs 0.60 million, OMV $500,000, ENI Pakistan $500,000 and Tullow Pakistan $100,00.
